Welcome

Sequoia saxophone was born from a dream, an intuition and the great passion of Roberto Buttus, owner of the homonym workshop, who after a long experience of wind instruments repair, has decided to "put himself in the front-line" by creating an original instrument closer both to professional musicans'requirements and to beginners equally moved by the beauty of music.

How Edgar tells his Sequoia Soprano saxophone:

A customised sound is basic for me as a musician. The Sequoia saxophones (n.d.r. Soprano Lemon (Unlacquered)) are capable of giving me freedom and inner life together with a stable and wide intonation, hergonomie and sound blowing. They are a product obtained from the great experience and knowledge of Roberto Buttus and Marcel Jansen. I consider them qualified and professional, capable of putting together their know-how and a quality I think fundamental: passion and love for the saxophone and the sound.

Dive in a sound capable of "relaxing the soul".

Would I buy a Sequoia tenor if I were not an endorser?Absolutely yes! The Sequoia tenor gives me an incredible dynamic range. It plays beautifully in tune. Excellent action out of the box (my specimen hasn't been tweaked by Mr. Buttus especially for me). I am developing my own sound on it. I have had a good impression since the very beginning, but now it starts feeling "mine".

 Federico tells his Sequoia saxophones:

The Sequoia Soprano and Alto Lemon (Unlacquered) are instruments whose sound personality and extreme ductility have always helped me searching for the inspiration. It's a rare and at the same time a happy example how modern saxophones, though respecting the tradition, are able to bravely and humbly come out from the choir of a constant growing and discouraging market ratification.

Tomaž expresses on his Sequoia saxophone:

I play the Sequoia Tenor Lemon because I like his tone and technincal characteristics. I do like it because I on it I can play jazz, classic and other syles. I think Sequoia saxophones are increasingly becoming the choice of saxophone players.

Lev comments on his Sequoia saxophone:

As a soloist but even more as a chamber musician in saxophone quartets where I have been playing a leading role since 1999, I discovered the most important features of a good soprano saxophone. These are for sure: perfect intonation, tone homogenity through whole range, easy mechanics, perfect tone control in low register and a wide dinamic range of an instrument. So after many years of searching and leaving with compromises I finally found an instrument which has all of the mentioned features: thank you my Sequoia Soprano Classic K91!!
